Hi Dear Reader,
I am replacing the website! To gently “motivate” myself I have decided to remove everything from my existing website so that I have a self-imposed deadline to work towards!
why?
Firstly, Why not? But more importantly, I built this place as a something that represents me on the web. I was feeling like the website as a whole were pushing me towards acting more safe by the looks and simplicity of it. It doesn’t even look that good to be honest, or maybe I am very used to it already that it become an eyesore. On top of that I have lost quite a lot of motivation to write in the past year. I am hoping the new look and inevitable overengineering makes it exciting again for me to restart my writing for the 2 readers that was checing on my website.
Also I was using gohugo to manage my website which used to be a cool project. Until the project started breaking stuff with each new updates. Now I don’t mind pinning a specific version to build my website, but it still gets frustrating to remember which version I should be using locally when moving between environments.
when?
If I still manage to stay around, hopefully before the end of the year 2026 I will have the new website published. But that’s just an optimistic estimate, so double it for more realistic one.
